Welcome to the first blog entry from our new apartment. I'm sitting next to a sanding machine, so we still don't have a floor to call our own, but at least the internet is on and working. On and working incredibly easily...
So, a big plug for Acanac ( http://www.acanac.com/ ). I ordered high speed DSL last week (5Mbit, no download cap), the modem came on Friday, and the connection was live this morning. Not only that, but the modem came pre-configured, I didn't have to set anything up, just plugged it in and turned it on. Oh yes, and the modem is free too, and you don't need a phone service - I have a "naked" DSL. So if you are in Canada and you want an internet provider, I recommend Acanac. If only the floor people were as organized.
Btw we are only paying $26 Canadian per month for the connection, and that includes an $8 charge for being "naked", if we had a residential phone line, it would only be $18.
Off back to temporary digs for a few more days...
